Contacting Our Safeguarding Team

If you have concerns that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please do not hesitate to contact our Safeguarding Leads. They can be reached via the Club office at 020 7739 5906.

Reporting Safeguarding Concerns

In addition to contacting our Safeguarding Leads, you can also seek assistance from the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) in Hackney. For more information, visit the Hackney Council’s LADO page: Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) | Hackney Council.

Our comprehensive Safeguarding Policies and Procedures outline the steps we take to protect our members and guide how concerns are managed. These documents are available for review here: Link to Safeguarding Policy.

In Immediate Emergencies

If you believe someone’s safety is at immediate risk, please contact the police and your local Children’s or Adults’ Social Care Services without delay. Prompt action can make a critical difference.

At The Crown and Manor Club, safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and we encourage everyone to remain vigilant and proactive in protecting the wellbeing of those in our care.

We recognise that

  • The welfare of the child, young person or vulnerable adult is paramount
  • All children, young people and vulnerable adults regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief or lack thereof, sexual orientation or identity have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse
  • Working in partnership with children, young people, their parents, carers and other agencies is essential in promoting young people’s welfare
  • All our staff and volunteers need to be carefully selected and trained and accept responsibility for safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults they come into contact with
